2014 Freedom and Democracy Art Expressions Program

Post date: Jan 13, 2014 3:19:15 PM

The Old Salem Sertoma Club is pleased to announce its 2014 Freedom and Democracy Art Expressions Program. We are inviting 5th grade students in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County area to participate.

The theme of this year's program is "Contributions of 'Founding Fathers' to Our Nation" (linked to North Carolina Essential Standards).

Teachers can use this competition to develop student creativity and stimulate student interest in American history. Although students usually choose to have their teachers mail their work for them, a student can submit an entry independently by mailing his or her artwork to the address indicated in the attached announcement.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 6 p.m. at the Old Salem Sertoma Club meeting, which will be held at the Piedmont Club in downtown Winston-Salem (BB&T Building).
